  2. Lower the output tray and reach inside the printer, hold the handle, lower the ink cartridge access door, and open it.
  3. Make sure you remove all the hardware materials before discarding the box and package materials.
  4. Next, connect the power cord to the printer's back and plug the other end of the power cord into the electrical outlet.
  5. Press the power button, turn on the printer.
  6. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue. 
  7. Then, remove one of the HP Deskjet 2652 INK cartridges. Make sure to touch only the black plastic on the ink cartridges.
  8. Remove the plastic tape, hold the ink cartridges by their sides, and insert it into its slot.
  9. Install the other ink cartridge by repeating the same steps.
  10. After that, close the ink cartridge access door and, next, close the output tray.
  11. Raise the input tray and slide the paper width guide to the left.
  12. Load a stack of plain white paper into the input tray.
  13. Then, you need to slide the paper width guide to the left and lower the output tray, and after that, pull out the tray extender.
